Standard Design vs. Custom Design on Accedo One

Accedo One provides two levels of design flexibility for OTT customers: Standard Design and Custom Design. 

With Standard Design, you can align your service to your brand using a variety of pre-configured options within the product - such as color schemes, button shapes, icon sets, fonts and menu options. 

For those who require more creative control, Custom Design offers advanced customization capabilities - enabling you to tailor the app’s look and feel to your unique specifications. 

Both approaches offer clear benefits, with Standard Design being more budget-friendly, and Custom Design enabling more control over the design of your app.

What can I do with Standard Design? 

Standard Design’s wide range of configuration options will suit the majority of brands and allow you to tweak your service to your needs.

Just a sample of the configuration options we have available out of the box:

• You can change the corner radius of your thumbnails to create anything from sharp edges to smoothly rounded corners:

• Similarly, you can vary between squared and rounded buttons:

• There are a number of options available to customize your menu display:

• Of course, you have a lot of control over your color scheme:

…and many more, such as background images, typography, icon sets and dictionaries. 

For some brands, the standard configuration options may not provide the level of customization needed to fully align your app with your brand identity. 

This is where Custom Design comes in.

What does Custom Design offer? 

Custom Design leverages the same building blocks as our Standard Design, but - in collaboration with the Accedo team - gives you more flexibility to adjust the design to your needs.

Below are a few examples for how - for instance - a standard video details page might be adjusted with Custom Design. 

‍

• Use title art images instead of the standard video name:

• Specify how you want the background image of a video to be displayed:

• Decide the length of a synopsis that you want to display:
  
  

‍

• Customize placement for the available buttons on the video details page:
  
  

‍

• Decide where you want metadata to be displayed (and display additional metadata if needed):

• …or change the order of the metadata to be displayed:

What is NOT possible with Custom Design? 

Custom Design does not allow for changes to app functionality or the complete repositioning of functional elements on the page. You'll still be working within the app’s core structure, but with much more control over how individual components are displayed.

Please note that essential elements like Login, Registration, and the Subscription flow remain outside the scope of Custom Design adjustments.
