Link navigation items directly to video detail pages

If you are an Accedo One customer, you have likely already made use of our “navigation item” function, and linked them to your browse pages or internal pages such as login or sign-up. 

Building on this functionality, you can now select specific catalog entries rather than just pages, enabling direct pathways to video detail screens. This enhancement significantly broadens your creative possibilities for interface design.
 

How can I utilize this feature?  

• Promotional hero linking to video or show: A prominent promotional banner or image can be used to capture attention and entice users to click through to a video. This could be used to highlight new content or promote a specific movie. 
• Visually striking promotional reel: A carousel of navigational items can be used to make a specific movie or show stand out - by creating a row of navigation items with different images, all linking to the same video. 

By leveraging the ability to link navigational items directly to videos, designers and content managers can create more engaging, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces.
 

How do I set up this feature?

In the Accedo One Admin interface, go to Content Manager and click on Navigation items.  Click “+” to add a new navigation item.

On the next screen, you will now see a new option: "Video catalog item". Select this option.

Once you select “Video catalog item”, you will see a prompt to select a video from your catalog. Click on the prompt, and select a video on the next screen.

Then finalize your setup as usual, uploading images and adding a button text.
