Restore Purchase is a feature found in many apps that often goes unnoticed until the need arises. When users encounter such a situation—whether it's switching devices or resolving an issue with their account—the ability to restore their purchase can be a quick lifesaver, eliminating the need to call support.
Imagine upgrading to a new device or needing to reinstall the app due to unforeseen issues. Instead of going through the hassle of repurchasing subscriptions or reaching out to support, the Restore Purchase feature lets you quickly recover all your premium content.
Restore Purchase comes in useful in the following scenarios:
When the feature is enabled, a “Restore my previous purchase” prompt will appear in the Account section of your apps.
When a user clicks on the “Restore my previous purchase” prompt, the app sends a request to the corresponding app store to get the user’s subscription information.
Once the purchase history is collected, the user will see a “Success” screen to let them know that retrieval was successful, and they can now continue to enjoy their favorite content.
