Item pinning for dynamic feeds

Previously, Accedo One Editor offered two options for creating containers or collections: fully dynamic or fully manual. A fully dynamic feed adheres strictly to predefined rules, while a fully manual feed requires updates each time content changes.

Now, Accedo One introduces a third option—Item Pinning—a hybrid approach that combines the best of both methods.

The benefits of item pinning

Dynamic feeds are excellent for minimizing daily maintenance, as they automatically manage content without the need for constant oversight. However, they have limitations, particularly when it comes to promoting specific videos while maintaining the dynamic nature of the feed.

With item pinning, you can showcase specific videos—such as the three most popular—at the top of your dynamic feed while keeping the rest of the content dynamic. The pinned videos must align with the dynamic feed logic, allowing you to highlight key content without losing the benefits of automation.

How to configure this feature

To get started, navigate to a container configured with a dynamic feed in your Accedo One Editor, and click on "Edit feed."

Next, hover your mouse over any item in the dynamic feed results. A small white pin will appear.

Click the white pin to turn it red, pinning that item to the front of the feed. To unpin an item, simply click the red pin again, and the item will return to its original position in the feed.

You can pin up to three items to the front of the dynamic feed at any given time.
