One of the most effective ways to enhance this experience is through the use of smart playlists. These are dynamically generated playlists that adapt to user behavior and preferences, making content discovery more intuitive and engaging.

At Accedo One, we are excited to introduce the ability to build smart playlists in the back end of the platform. This functionality allows for the creation of playlists based on specific triggers, such as trending content, top-rated shows, or the most-played videos.

Today Accedo One customers can create dynamic feeds by adding filter rules in the platform’s Editor. Some suggested pre-defined feeds that use video metrics are:

  • Trending playlists: dynamically updated to include content that is currently popular among the user base - capitalize on the momentum of popular shows or movies, driving even more viewers to these titles.
  • Top 10 playlists: highlight the top 10 most-watched videos or series within a specific time frame - promote high-performing content and leverage the social proof phenomenon, where users are inclined to watch content that others have deemed worthy of their time.
