Accedo One launches video trailers

Video trailers offer a fast, visually engaging preview of content, helping viewers make more informed choices about what to watch. By highlighting key features and storylines, trailers enhance the user experience and increase engagement by capturing interest and drawing viewers in.

At Accedo One, we now support displaying a “Trailer” button on video detail pages.

How does this feature work? 

It is very simple! 

If a trailer is linked to a video, a “Trailer” button will appear next to the play button. When clicked, the trailer will play instantly. Once the trailer finishes, the player will automatically close, bringing the user back to the main video's detail page.

Trailers will not appear in in-app search results or be displayed on the Browse page.

How do I link a trailer to a video? 

To get started, you may need a "Video Trailer IDs" custom field added to your video provider interface. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager for assistance with this.

Once the "Trailer Video IDs" field is set up, simply upload your trailer(s) and enter the trailer's video ID into the designated field for the corresponding video. You can link multiple trailers, but only the first one listed will be played. If multiple trailers are uploaded, another ID will need to be first on the list.

What type of content is a trailer available for? 

Currently, trailers are available for standalone videos only, and cannot be linked to TV shows or Collection pages.
